A two-day residential workshop for New Jersey teachers on redesigning cities for climate resilience, run with Rutgers University. Free lodging, plus a stipend on completion.
The New Jersey School of Conservation runs this two-day workshop for teachers as part of its Climate Change Learning Collaborative.
In partnership with Rutgers University, participating teachers work alongside Rutgers students on an in-depth study of New Jersey, looking at how cities can be redesigned for greater resilience to climate change. The emphasis is on real environmental problems and on strategies teachers can take back to their own classrooms, whatever grade or subject they teach.
Open to teachers from New Jersey public and charter schools, any grade level, any subject. Free overnight lodging in cabin-style housing at NJSOC is available, and the organizer offers a $200 stipend on completion. The same workshop also runs on August 19 and 20, 2026.
